While holding up a toy turtle kid #1 said, "Boys have crabs right."
Lukas: "I don't have crabs, I just have a turtle."

A Day Filled With Love...

We had a great Valentines Day! We started off the day with heart shaped muffins and then got to open a little Valentine present. Aubrey got her first piggy bank and the boys each got a new sweatshirt. The day continued as we celebrated my dad's birthday and later dinner at my mom's. The boys got in some excercise and Wii time as well. Overall a great day. Hope you enjoyed yours to.

Clearly Something Is WRONG!

Last night Lukas was in using the restroom, when he called out to my husband and myself. "Mom, Dad something is wrong." We quickly went into the bathroom and were surprised to find out what the real problem was. When asked what's wrong he replied,"My pee has no color." I tried to explain that everything was okay and sometimes when you drink a lot of water your urine can be clear and not yellow. Well I thought that this was over until he came out and told his older brother that his pee had no color. "Jaren if I drink more, my pee will get color again." Jaren responded with,"No Lukas. Pee chooses what color it wants to be." What can I say,I guess you just have to let somethings be. =)

What a Cutie!

Gotta Love the hair

I just got these recent photos of my niece printed and loved this picture of her and my husband. (Uncle Justin) Khylie loves her uncle and would prefer him over me anyday. She is willing to dish out a hug or kiss to him whenever he asks her. As for me I usually have to chase her down. I know someday she will like me more than him or at least I hope so. =)

A Clean Valentine For Jaren's Teacher

So I found this cute idea on decorating hand sanitizer with rub-ons. Since my son is in Kindergarten I thought this would be a great gift for his teach and her aides. I volunteer in his class twice a week and know how dirty those kid's hand are! =) All I did was buy some hand sanitizer with labels that would peel off. Some of them I did have to use a cleaner to remove the sticky residue left behind. I then found rub-ons from Jo Ann Fabric store for $1 and added some ribbons and a tags. A cute and clean gift. I made all four of these for around $6.00.

Candy bar Valentines...

I wanted to do something cute for my son's teacher for Valentines day so I decided to dress up some chocolate. Who doesn't love chocolate? I hope she enjoys it. I also made some smaller ones for my nieces for love day. I'm not sure how much they will enjoy the wrapping, but I know they will enjoy what's under it.

Friday Flashback....

This picture brings back great memories of when the boys were still sweet and didn't fight =) Jaren had just split his chin open on a trip to McDonald's and Lukas was not even a year old yet, wow how time has flown by.

Rolling over and Ocho???

Well this past weekend Aubrey started rolling over. None of us have seen the process, just the end result of her lying on back. The first time this happened I tried to get her to roll over for me for at least 5 minutes. Lets just say nothing happened. So we have left her alone and thought we would catch her next time. As I walked into the room today, once again Aubrey had rolled over without being seen. Lukas had been with me making lunch and Jaren was at school. When I told Lukas to look at sister and that she had rolled over again he informed me that Ocho had helped her. For those of you that don't know who Ocho is, let me introduce you. Ocho is Lukas's imaginary friend. = ) He is three years old, with black hair and a mustache. He lives with his parents in California and travels to Mexico a lot. Some how he is constantly showing up in our home, I guess between his travel arrangements. We have grown to love Ocho and will enjoy sharing his tales with you. At least now we know for now how Aubrey is rolling over...

Overheard from the drivers seat...

Kid # 1: "My grandma has a bunch of race cars. Really old race cars."
Jaren : "Really, how old?"
Kid #1: There from the 90s, there antiques."
Jaren: "Wow, that is really old. Antiques are old rusty things, right mom?"
Mom: "Yes Jaren"

I had no clue what to say because I had just felt myself age a great deal. =(

A unusual question.....

My adorable 3 year old came up to me and asked, "Mommy which one is my middle finger?" while holding up his hand. I pointed to the correct finger and said, "This one." He then lowered the rest of his fingers and asked, "So this means a bad word right?" All I could say was, "Yes dear." Lukas replied with a quick okay and was off.

Setting the tone.

Isn't it amazing how someone so small can set the tone of the entire house. Lukas can wake up in the best of moods or the worst and everyone else seems to follow. If he wakes up and comes into our room saying, "good morning mom, good morning dad" we can usually guess it's a good day. Some mornings he comes in and the first thing he says is, "I hungry or I want breakfast" watch out! Those are the days we wish we could just roll over and start the day over, because the storm will be here soon. Today is a very very stormy day and I'm looking for a break in the clouds. Wish me luck!

Dinner and Wii with Grandma Shirley and Grandma Brittie

We had so much fun this week with our grandmothers coming over for dinner and a few rounds of Wii bowling. It's great to see that all generations can enjoy something like a video game together. Jaren kept jumping in to try and teach them what they were doing wrong. They ended up doing just fine on their own. I love this picture I took of Aubrey and two of great-grandmothers even though she was out. Someday I know she will love it too.
